Christmas Markets in Mallorca
Christmas Markets or Mercats de Nadal are a festive tradition across Mallorca, typically running from late November through to the Three Kings celebrations in January. The markets are a perfect opportunity to soak up the holiday spirit, with twinkling lights, handcrafted gifts, and seasonal treats. Some markets are one-day events, while others are open on specific days or daily. It's best to check the local Ajuntament website or social media pages for the most up-to-date timings and dates.
Markets are usually held in the Plaza Mayor of each town, where the square and surrounding streets are transformed into vibrant, festive scenes. Stalls offer a wide variety of items including jewellery, decorations, textiles, nativity figures, and local crafts. Alongside the handcrafted goods, visitors can enjoy traditional festive food like churros, sweets, bratwurst, and waffles, along with warm drinks such as mulled wine and hot chocolate.
