La Fira, Pollença 2024

The annual Pollença Fair, or La Fira de Pollença, is one of the oldest fairs in Mallorca, steeped in history and tradition. It’s 41st edition is set to take place from November 8 to November 11 in 2024. This beloved event is not only a celebration of local craftsmanship and agriculture but also a showcase of Mallorcan culture. Historically, fairs like this were held as marketplaces for agricultural and manufactured goods, and livestock, primarily centred around the Plaça Reial, now known as Plaça Vella, and Plaça del Mercat.

While its origins date back to medieval times, La Fira de Pollença has evolved into a grand event that combines historical reflection with a lively modern fair, blending cultural, culinary, and artisanal experiences. Visitors can expect a rich itinerary of activities and exhibits that highlight Mallorca's commitment to tradition, sustainability, and community. This year’s fair, themed "Touch Wood" (Tocar Fusta), highlights a commitment to sustainability, showcasing furniture crafted from locally sourced wood from fallen pines in the Serra de Tramuntana.
