This latest book is again centred on ex-MET detective inspector Frank Harmer, who retired to Menorca for a quiet life in the sun, but soon finds himself called upon by the local police to act as a consultant in helping to solve a mysterious homicide. As we have discovered previously, though brilliant at crime solving, Frank is not so good at adjusting to island life or wooing his amorous neighbour Marisol.
Now time and relationships have moved on, and whereas the first book saw Frank investigate the case of a mysterious body washed up in Binibeca Bay - and the second book saw Frank and Detective Inspector Gonzalez track down a serial killer through a series of bizarre murders at Menorcan Fiestas - the new novel presents our hero with a triple jeopardy! 1. A serial killer. 2. A sinister kidnapping. 3. And his impending marriage proposal!

Says the author, ‘I felt it was important to explore new ground, so to speak, and progress the main characters’ relationships whilst adding some extra tension. I don’t want to give too much away here about the plot, as it might spoil enjoyment for readers, but I have tried to keep the action and mystery strong yet fun and quirky like the first two books in the series, with a few new twists and surprises.’
